So got into work the other day in the deli. And was helping a couple of customers after giving my usual hellos to everybody. And then out of the blue my DH, whom has said hello to about everyone else but myself(guess he was still fuming about me forgetting the doughnut case of late). So I thought nothing of it as he totally ignored me two days prior as well.
So I'm about to start slicing this customer's order and then he thunks this brown bag with snowflakes on it and says Merry Christmas (insert my name). To which was kind of odd. I just moved it off to the side and kept working and keeping up with grab and go(after I took a quick peek to see what was in it sort of. Just saw something sorta silvery that looked like one of those poop emoticon things). Til I hear one of our sub shop peeps thanking him for the kisses(the candy), which I thought was kind of nice. albeit strange too.
I also noticed a sleigh he made out of candy canes, Kit Kats and Reese's for a few people as well. So naturally I'm curious what he put in a bag for me. Given his lack of talking to me of late. And saw this:
It's a Hershey Kiss container that had Hershey Kisses wrapped in Santa hat foil. And he tossed in a generic Merry Christmas card to boot. Not sure what to think about it to be honest. I mean it's a cute little container that reminds me of the green slime guy from Ghost Busters for some reason. And yet at the same time, anybody else ever get a random Christmas gift from their DH for the holidays? Be different if it were one of the back up managers as they are kind of like that. But the DH.....eh not so much(or maybe since we made it to a new store for a new year and still have some of our core peeps still around he wanted to do something special?).
At least he did something nice for y'all. Mybdh would never do that, at least not for me. She would expect me to give HER something. Which would never happen.

True. Just still kind of odd as that is not really his thing. I mean he says many a left field/inappropriate thing at times. And generally alright for the most part. But gift giving ain't his thing either really.
And most especially when he barely even acted like he saw me the other day. Not like I'm a "look at me" kind of person, but still I'm always saying a general hello to everybody before I start my shift and talk to everybody that has something to say to me. I get people are different, but again, still no real excuse to not say a quick hey and keep it pushing.
I guess, I also felt it was kind of an odd thing for him to do as well. Given some of the junk I've heard about him having extracurricular activities at other stores he worked at for Kroger. And although I know he never approached me in that way. It just feels kind of awkward for him to choose a candy known as Kisses to give to his predominately FEMALE employees/associates.
