At what point is it appropriate is to ask for a raise? Or am I just gonna be given the runaround about how I should just work my hours, or go help another store on my nights off, or blah blah blah?
It all depends on if your store in under a union contract. If you are, then there is nothing that you can do about "asking" for a raise. Your only option is to become a department lead, manager, or back-up. Under most union contracts, you are required to work a certain number of weeks/months before getting each raise.
