Like managers that are terrible at their job, orhve done highly inappropriate things, so instead of firing them, Kroger sent them to your store, to die, or be forgotten about. Or it's kind of a demotion, but kroger doesn't really tell the manager that. So when you get them they start showing their crazy selves.

It's probably a low end store or somewhere in the ghetto

It's not in the ghetto. Low end maybe, but it does make money

You have to look at your District, most "bad" managers are moved within the same district to lower volume (well if your still liked within the Division).

Wasn't a manager. But had heard that one of our newest managers, a young guy;that I always forget what his name is, got demoted to our store. He was a coordinator and did something big to screw up and they demoted him back down to manager. So yea, I guess it can happen.

My store manager isn't very well liked and has from what i've heard, had many incidents filed against him but he's still here. Like let's just say people all over the district know about him, i heard stories from both my home store and the store i left to come to this one. He's pretty well known in district 1 apparently...We aren't a "ghetto" store, but we are doing pretty bad on in stocks right now. We also had a huge problem with hiring, i know a lot of stores are in this shape but we were so bad we weren't even getting people to apply...

Yes. My store is a lower volume store in a nicer area (lots if other grocery stores around here). I came from one of the highest in the district because this one is RIGHT by my house and the store I came from was a 20 minute drive. I like most of the people here, but you can see the difference between who c ame here willingly and who got sent because they suck at their job, lol

If his last name is Smith I know who he is and what he did. If so, well, he did a very big booboo.

Sounds familiar.  Anyone slightly good gets promoted or quits due to a better job offer.  In the King County, WA area the Cross Roads store in Bellevue seems to be where all the trouble makers get sent to.  I tried shopping there a couple times and no one is happy.

Why doesn't Kroger fire these people or are they afraid of a lawsuit?

There are three stores in bad areas here in Indy where they shuffle all the people they don't want to see or hope quit.

They also come to those stores and to collect scratched items to prevent out of stocks at "higher profile" stores.

Seems like in Indy, at least, Kroger prefers selling goods to white people.

No, its where all the new ones that get promoted end up at. They all are eager and optimistic when they first start, they usually get broken by the first year.

They are always calling around looking for product when a store is OOS.  Most times one store was paying attention to customers shopping patters and ordered heavy, while the other just went with the "system".  Its really fun with a Deli runs out of chicken!  or Dairy didn't order enough milk~
