Nope, you might get day old donuts and muffins from the bakery in the breakroom.

Oh those are awful.

Every once in a while we get "associate appreciation" day where we get an array of cooked food for us in the break room. I think this is either twice or four times a year. Can't remember which. Last time for us it was thanksgiving time, with turkey and other stuff. Then a bit after that, maybe around christmas time, we had pizza. Oh that was good, free meal for me.

Don't forget about the 10% off Kroger brand items. And most things from the deli and bakery.

Yea, we get a random hot dog and chips set up, some ham, even chili when it was really snowy and such this year. But we are no longer going to get the free pizza any more. Something to do with loss prevention or whatever.

Managers before we used to be allowed to spend money and actually make the sure feel fun! Every holiday.....associates would get free food as a "Thank You", now get 1-2 days a year "Associate Appreciation" and either allow pizza, hotdogs or the store makes a decision on a place to get food from (which doesn't normally happen).

Loss Prevention is now Asset Protections, which basically sees anything not being paid for or being used incorrectly as a way to eliminate shrink. I'm surprised stores are allowed to actually order supplies or make a decision that goes against a "policy". Supplies could be controlled by using scan data, just like ELMS.....is takes 1 small sized cake box for every 1 cake sold....so you order 1 case when you sell 10 (whatever its packed) or to clean the bathroom it takes .25 of a bottle of cleaner...so order 1 if you have to clean the bathroom 5 times a day.
