Vacation scheduling

I was checking my online schedule and it shows I am on vacation next week which is fine. Because that's what I wanted. However when I checked the posted schedule (which h I always do) it shows that I am working this week. Now management isn't here to discuss this with and I am off tomorrow. So what do I do? Take my vacation like original escedule said or follow the printed one?

I have been told that printed schedule ALWAYS supersedes the online one. But is this the same for vacations? I am strongly thinking of going by the online one but I dont want to get into any trouble. My dad says to.just go as planned but take a pic of the online one and refuse to sign any write ups if they come your way.

Be aware that below your schedule on greatpeople.me it says:

Note: This schedule was published by your store. This schedule is also posted at your store and any updates to this schedule will be posted on the store copy which is the official copy. Please discuss any questions you may have about your posted schedule with your supervisor. Thank you!

So the store copy is the official copy. If it says you're working next week, then you are. You should either call the store or go to the store tomorrow and speak with your department head/assistant department head in order to find out why there is a discrepancy between the paper and online schedules. By doing this, you will eliminate any chance of getting in trouble.

Agreed. The online schedule is a "template" of sorts. Sometimes its changed, But often it's the same as the paper one. Go in tomorrow and speak to your manager. No disrespect, but unless your dad can support you if you get fired or suspended indefinitely, I would check with management. This happened with me on my vacations as well, and I came in as a courtesy to see what was up. Or I called in. Usually,I was on vacation and it was management error. Sometimes they asked if I could work it and go next week which I have no problems of doing.

Hint: NEVER buy your tickets ANYWHERE until your vacation has been confirmed as The Company is NOT obligated to reimburse payments on tickets to events.

In other words,: if you buy a ticket and your vacation is denied for whatever reason, then you are out the money.

If the vacation in question is one that you put down on the official vacation schedule back during the first part of the year and no one said anything about you not getting it, then they have let you take it whether you put in the e-schedule or not.  It's part of your department head's or schedule writer's responsibility to check the vacation schedule each week for upcoming vacations.
