It is not against the law. The USDA says that it can be manually typed in and the customer must enter the correct pin. No ID needed at all. The system is monitored because of a card is keyed in too many times it will be blocked for fraudulent reasons. So Krogers rules are not legal. You cannot tell an EBT recipient can't be manually keyed. As long as the card is present, cashier types in the number or line Food Lion or Walmart it comes up for customer to type in and the cashier has to see the card & number.

I am a stripper/Hooker with multiple stds and I pay with a lot of 1 dollar bills. It tickles me pink inside watching cashiers count my money knowing it's been in my crotch and butt crack. It's even funnier when I see the cashier across from the strip club with pink eye or herpes on their lips when I see them the next time around. Idk why I do it. I just do.
It sure is here in Georgia. If the customer pushes it, ask for a manager. They can override it and they have to physically punch the card number in at least in the Local 1996 area
The soap in all public restrooms and nearly all businesses do not clean hands properly., especially under nails.
This can be tested. Dirty up your hands don't wash them for a time to allow the oils from your hands to absorb in the dirt. Then try the soap at your store. After wash your hands again with a bar of soap or the liquid hand soap you have at home. Notice the color of the water the second wash still dirty even after multiple washes with corporate soap.
It's may not be against the law but the store may face potential consequences, as per the Federal SNAP program agreement with the company to be able to accept EBT. Let's say you out right deny someone they complain to SNAP, now the attention of the overlords will look into your store.
Sometimes it's all the customer has and may not have eaten in a while or paid to travel to your store. You would be mad too you couldn't eat because someone refused payment.

It depends on the state. In Georgia it is illegal in most cases but in the Atlanta 1996 UFCW area, if you can't get an EBT card to go thru, you MUST get a manager, and they have to give you the OK to key it in. Happened to me today.
