No if you transfer to a different division you lose all senority and will basically be considered a new hire. The only way you keep senority is if the store you transfer to is in your division on the same contract.

Yeah, that's one bad thing about working for a unionized company. Another is everybody with the same amount of experience makes the same pay regardless of the quality of their work.
If it's with the same union it should be the same. If not you can contract with them. You might accept a pay cut though depending upon area of country.
