The warehouse definitely knows where the trailer comes from when it gets back to the warehouse. There is a number on the inside wall of trailer and on the outside above the door. Drivers have to write those numbers down in their paperwork.
As for a trailer with a camera, cameras are cheap and easy to set up with their own power source.
I heard about a truck driver that was caught stealing meat out of the trailers via camera.
