The number one business concept in the world is " If you take care of your employees , Your employees will take care of your customers." Apparently kroger does not believe in this business model. Pay is subpar, employee moral is low, and the company does nothing to improve this. Then I find out kroger company does nothing for employees for the holidays, no holiday pay,no company bonus  (except for management) not even a damn .29 cent a pound turkey.  Wth kind of company is this? A multi billion dollar company just ****s on it's employees.

The reason all that went the way of the dinosaurs is because customers don't need taken care of----they'll whine and cry and bitch and throw fits at lack of stocking, staffing, personal assistance and non competitive prices, but STILL come back to the stores.

And everyone from the share holders to the corporate owners and down to the store managers know it. When you're already making ass tons of money, why waste a dime in expenses you don't need?

I worked there for almost 3 yrs, and what made me quit was the ******* management was shorting me hours, denied my application for a transfer to a store that was looking for a nutrition lead (the one at my store has been there for like ... a billion years and has no intention of retiring anytime soon.

I also always got the ****ty shifts because everyone else in the store out ranked me. I requested to be moved to nights and was denied. The last straw was when they kicked me out of my dept to put someone else that didnt out rank me in there.
