Why does it bother me?

So, I was informed that a Food Service Manager (FSM) is trying to get me fired. The thing is I'm not really sure whether to trust the person who told me this. After all that same person, told me that the store had gotten low scores on all their inspections, then told the Lead that I said they weren't doing their job (never came out of my mouth). This same person also says they do work that some one else actually took the time to do. But what this person said to me seems about right, because the FSM is very untrustworthy. I asked this person if I should go to the Union with this information and they said "No". They said it was already taken  care of and the FSM had gotten suspended. The thing is that if this was true then why aren't people talking about it? Usually when someone, in charge, gets suspended for ANYTHING it is talked about by everyone. This is the first time I've heard of it. The Lead is now upset because they heard that someone is saying they don't do their job right, again. I don't think anyone has said this. I think that the Lead heard this from the same person who told me that the FSM is trying to get me fired. I believe this person is just trying to cause chaos amongst the team. I want to say something, but I'm not sure it is a smart thing. Especially since everyone in the department runs their mouths and likes to spread gossip. I don't know how long I can hold out though.

Don't say a word unless someone from management approaches you to talk about it. Be honest and tell them what was said to whom. If people in your department are trying to start up rumors it's best to leave yourself out of it until you have your facts straight.

Sometimes it's best to not say a word and hope it dies down. There is so much drama in deli and bakery. Just today I had to shut down some drama, because one of my new hires starts ranting about how the deli manager asked her questions about an order she took, and decided it was smart to get an attitude with her. I had to stop and be like, hey, you know the deli manager is over bakery too right??

I've never worked in the Deli/Bakery but those departments seem to be endless source of drama across every store I've worked in.

Yeah sometimes it is best to just say nothing, but Oh how I want to call this person out right in front of everyone. I know if I did I would just be putting a target on my back. It just makes me sick how immature people are and how blind others are. It just irks me.

The deli manager and I are both women and we 100% say this all the time, that we need some men in the department to balance things out... too many bitchy women lol

Most of the men in our deli department haven't helped with the drama. For the most part they a lot of them think they're hot **** and refuse to listen to anyone else, do a terrible job, and then wonder why the manager keeps yelling at them. A few of the other ones we've had had anger management issues and either explode or go off to pout at the slightest hint that things aren't going their way.  Not to say they're all bad. We've had some nice ones who were good workers too. But for the most part? They've sucked just like everyone else lol.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure thedude was a deli manager.

We had a guy in the bakery when i first got transferred to my store, he actually got promoted to bakery manager at another store...and then he quit. I've only had 1 guy in the bakery in each store i've worked in. Around here they seem to be afraid to place guys in the bakery. I've seen more guys in the deli though, but not at my current store.

This is so true. Right now I have a male manager that starts lies and drama and acts like a baby every time he doesn't get his way and he runs to the store manager to complain and talk about every tiny little issue. So if your male manager has feminine ways, then you're still screwed

Oh so not true. We have a man in our Deli and he is just as bad (if not worse) than the women. He gets upset if I get my area cleaned up before he comes into and feels like I'm telling him he doesn't know how to do the job. I don't say anything. I just do my job and He constantly makes the remark "So you are saying you do the job better than everyone else! Don't let the boss hear you say that." He spreads more lies, than the women do.
