So I've worked in meat for a while now (I was on the front end before). How does the cutting test work? I also don't know how the whole 'becoming a meat cutter' thing works either. I also don't know if I even want to be a meat cutter either, but I know they make more money than regular meat clerks. I'm only part time. I'm also in the Nashville Division if that matters.
Meat cutting is one of those antiquated non-skills that's been grandfathered down the chain for far too long. I hate to see anyone's pay check or career options get hurt, but I REALLY hate waste and inefficiency, and I'm glad this source of both is going away
Hey original poster here. So they definitely still have meat cutters at my store. And they do still train them because one boy was made a meat cutter like a year ago. And this isnt my career goal at all. Im just a part time college kid, and I wanted to try to make the most money I could. So do yall know anything about the test? Thanks!
