There was snow blowing in that lasted a day this week. Everyone in town came to my store thinking it was nuclear fallout. I hope nobody else had to go through this.

Oh we do here too. All someone needs do do is pretty much say "I heard there was gonna be snow". I still dont understand why people think they need a full cartload of food for 1-3 inches of snow.

The whole "snow scare" thing is beyond ridiculous! It's a case of "everybody else is doing it, why not me?" People are afraid of being left out. I've stopped ordering heavier when it comes to snow in the forecast. If we run out of something due to people's gluttony, good! **** em! The same people who buy a cart load before the snow, are the first ones through the door after it hits. So, what's the ****ing point?! So proud of their hunter/gatherer selves! no

'Oh, **** it's going to snow got to get to the store." After there is 4 inches of snow on the ground and still snowing, "Oh **** it's snowing I better get back to the store." I just don't get it!!

The fun part is trying to keep the carts from piling up while waiting for the vehicles to clear out. The lot got so congested at one point I was waiting for a demo derby to happen. disbelief

Every year they do this...You would think people would JUST...GET...SMARTER, but they don't...no

Every snowfall is like the end of the world to these people!!!

All I've got to say is that you better buy your rock salt now!!! Do NOT start complaining when we get a REAL blizzard and there's none to be had...ANYWHERE!!!evileye

The "defense" (as opposed to "offense") mentality of people never ceases to amaze me!!! No one ever thinks ahead, but they all come rushing in at the last minute after everything has sold out and wonder why they can't get what they want!!!

The FUN part is when it gets so cold, that the carts are all iced together in the corrals and/or you have to dig them out...Another bad one is when you have to push them all through the slush and the wheels get stuck!

The fun things that baggers get to do!!!no

This is sort of related. There was a serious winter storm a few years ago. It was more ice than snow. I was living within walking distance from the store at the time and everyone else for the morning shift had called in. So when they called me to come in I agreed. I got ready and hiked over there. No vehicles to be seen for miles. It felt like the winter version of Mad Max. LOL. When I got there, the comanager at the time pitched in and helped me get the morning stuff done. The most fun part was getting the few carts in. They were caked in ice and stuck frozen to the pavement. I had to use a hammer to bust them out. Although the roads were clear hardly anyone came in to shop so we just took it easy until it was time to clock out.
