I got to do Reshop on Thanksgiving because we werent crowded up front and I actually liked doing it alot. It was kinda peaceful just walking around the store with a cart full of reshop just putting stuff back, it was so much less stressful than having to stay at the register and be stressed having everything have to be perfect, make no mistakes and please all the customers who hate the way I do everything anyway. I hate cashiering, I wish I could just do reshop only, but a lot of courtesy clerk stuff would be hard like getting carts, plus the part they get paid less than cashiers.
I dont know what to do, but Im just in a hard place, but I hate cashiering and just dont want to ever do it again, but I know I have to go back tomorrow and just cashier. It really is the worst job in the store.
Does your store have self checkouts? If so, ask your CSM if they need more Uscan help. Apparently, in my store, no one likes doing Uscan, they'd rather cashier. Which is why I'm on the thing full time. I personally think it's the easiest job in the store, but that's just me. You decide what task you want to do, you get to move around the area, very minimal customer interaction, and best of all, the customers scan and bag their own stuff.
Or you could do what a couple of the other cashiers in my store did. They transferred to the bakery.
I HATE fukking reshops and doing them. Because out of the five or so courtesy clerks we have working on holidays its me, and ONLY me they call. (I made the STUPID mistake of impressing them and doing 2 full carts by myself when i was a cc). Now when i fill in for a cc, EVEN IF we have 2 others on duty, they call me. If i say anything about it, im "offered" the chance to go home because its "a slow day." Its utter bullsh*t.
