I thought Kroger doesn't allow people to get cashback from their credit cards

I told a customer that they couldn't get cashback from their Discover card when they asked me about it. Then I watched, to my surprise, as they proceeded to get $50 cashback from the Uscan.

Did something change? Or am I missing something?

Most cards don't allow it.

Discover has some kind of special arrangement.

Well, because for the entire time I've been here, every single manager has told me that one cannot get cashback from credit cards and gift cards. Only debit cards. So either something has changed, or the managers did not know.

This is the first time seeing someone get cashback from a credit card.

Discover is the only card that allows that, you can get cash of $50-$60. Another thing you might see is someone using one of the Visa/Mastercard Debit gift cards and receiving cash back. Inside the packaging is a card with a 4 digit pin number. While its advertised as a "gift card", Visa/Mastercards are actually a one time load debit card able to be used as credit or debit.

Well at least I'm not hiding being "Anonymous", since you seem to know more about me....please share all your information.  I don't have to have a Discover card to know about the Cashback option, since you kinda learn things as you go in the stores.  I don't understand trolls, what do they really get off on?

FYI, I'm not getting pissed by your reply comments, I just think your SAD!

Actually he is right. Some credit cards will give the option if cash back, just depends on the company. OP's managers don't know what they're talking about, so they told him the wrong thing.

HA! There was a situation once where I encountered that. A couple customers had these gift cards that had these pins they were given, and they asked me if they can get cashback using them I asked a manager about the pin, he immediately said no. I think it's possible that the manager knew about the card but told me misinformation because he didn't want to deal with the customer's bull, or something like that.

Speaking of misinformation. I'm starting to get tired of the inconsistencies in answers from the managers. A month ago, I asked them if we accept expired manufacture coupons. They told me, no, only accept expired store coupons. Now, the very same managers, are telling me that we accept expired manufacture coupons. lol.

The managers just don't seem to care. They tell you anything just to have you go away.

Discover allows it. They also start charging interest from when it's taken out just like a cash advance from my understand. Wal-Mart's credit card allows people to do it at Wal-Mart stores too for no fee.
