union rep wants to come to my house
Permalink

I keep getting phone calls from different people who say they are with the union, and that they need to come to my house for about an hour so that I can sign some paperwork regarding my insurance and beneficiary information. When I ask if we can meet somewhere other than my house they say no. I usually end up hanging up on them or saying that I'll call them back later. My coworkers said that they have never had anyone call them, and it sounds like some sort of scam. Has anyone else had this happen to them? What should I do?

Do they sound like an Indian from India? If they do call them a bhenchod. Look it up for meaning. You can also call them a Chutiya. Look up the meaning's if it's a lady call her a rundi. Play along with them as long as you can and waste their time so they do not scam anyone.

Also play the bhenchod song real loud.

It's American Income Life, they're the company the UFCW partners with for the accidental death and dismemberment benefits and they try to sell you on their full policies. Then every so often (seems they try for annually, though thankfully after the first voicemail this year they left me alone) they want follow-up meetings where they try and upsell you on increased coverage. If you do get a policy, don't take the upselling bait.

If you're smart you won't take anything. Those companies border on fraudulent practices and are barely ahead of the law. The only guarantee you get is that they will assuredly deny any and all claims you make, and they're betting heavily that, because you're a low wage retail worker, you won't even attempt to successfully sue them.

On their profit:loss projection tables, they win.
