Management Bonus is Based Off This—
Permalink

In case youve been wondering why your management has had an change of focus on concern in the last quarter it is because Store Managements bonus is based now on these  things

90% accuracy on Display Compliancy

100% Active Backstock being worked each night

100% of Trucks worked eached night

&& Click List fill Rate

so there you go. The hyperfocus you have seen as of late is not to better the customers. It is to better the pockets of tour management.

Just thought id throw that out there for your reading pleasure.

I'd believe that. Every time that night crew doesn't finish their truck, instead of having day grocery work the truck, my store manager is having all of us (usually department heads) go help work the skid for a few minutes after the huddle. But of course then asks why we aren't ready when it's time for us to have our daily walk.

Start treating the perishable departments like we're just as important as grocery and you'll have better results...

 I believe it too.

My unit manager has outright told me this and lies on Pass the Baton's when we don't finish. We've emptied shelves just to have display compliance on oddball **** we don't sell. Then he takes all the credit for our hard work when the distract staff comes in. I've never worked for such a kiss ass in my life. More concerned about his pocket and looking good for higher ups than our customers.

Nope It all changed to those

whichever part is better

retention can potentially be in it. But more likely to achieve the others. Company recognizes that

I was a retail manager for several years and I can tell you this: it is not your imagination if you think you're being targeted for firing----especially if you're a long term employee. You wouldn't believe some of the the 'efficiency tactics' and 'right sizing innovations' I heard in some of those closed door meetings. This is a game based on boosting your bonuses by generating more sales and cutting more costs. Nobody specifically says, 'fire as many long term employees as you can', but the implications are made very clear. If you're not already an evil piece of grabage before you start, retail management will turn you into one.

What about OT? Is that no longer factored in? I figured it still was because my store has really cracked down on overtime and I assumed management was trying to bring OT down to boost their bonuses before the year ended.

OT has NOTHING to do with bonus.

They have been cracking down on it to help bottom line.

I believe all of this! And the more threads I've read on here lately, it seems I'm not the only one who's noticed what's REALLY going on!

I frequently find myself shaking my head more often than not...Sad, ain't it? no

And one guy at my store wants to go to school for Kroger management. I'm like," WTf," saying to myself. If you're gonna' go to school to be a burnt out kroger manager than you have some very low expectations.

I was a store manager. Leaving was the best thing I ever did.  If you care about people you cannot enjoy it because kroger cares about saving money

You don't even need to go to school to become a comanager anymore, they've picked lots of department heads for the MD1 program.

Good, that's a solid direction for the trend to head in. This once fine country was built from hard working people with thinking on their feet smarts and natural skill, not brain dead college grad lazy bums who just want to look good

Oh I completely agree, i just meant that why anyone would go to college just to get a degree for Kroger management is beyond me when it's not even necessary.
