One of our co managers left several weeks ago. I heard since they are considered salaried employees, the total number of hours they are working would equate to less than minimum wage. (OK say you work 60 hours a week, your salary is X, divide that up and you get an aprox hourly rate.) One I know left due to a medical disability. Do managers know something we don't?

Two of the managers at our store are overworked. One is trying to knock down overtime but is failing due to people not being fast enough and this stupid team-stocking **** that don't work. The real reason people are quitting is because of the pay. Sorry, you're not going to get people to stay for a year if they're being paid peanuts & bananas. We get the District Manager who usually comes every other month, now coming maybe every 3 weeks due to lack of performance from Frozen, Diary & Produce. Next year they're trying to cut overtime to 40 hours a week for full time, which is impossible at our store due to lack of help. All of the good people we had either went to other jobs or other stores. We're stuffering for good folks, but I doubt anyone will stay for 8 dollars an hour starting pay when Wallyworld is offer 12 - 13 dollars an hour at Walmart, even more for experience!

I was a salaried retail manager for several years, and one of the main reasons I got out was because, yes, the pay : work ratio is terrible. Your whole life becomes immersed in your job. My family, sanity and physical health were suffering from it. Haven't missed five minutes of that madness.

Yeah, If you're working from 6 am to almost 7pm, every single day sometimes 6 days a week you're not gonna' have a life. Plus the pressure in getting a store to meet crazy standards will make even the strongest quit.

If you don't miss it then why do you still get on this forum to see what's going on?
