I feel very uncomfortable offering tax-free sales to customers (allegedly) with churches and other non-profit companies. It's being way too abused in our store, with customers writing down any kind of number and no updated certificates on file in our binder. Is this happening in your store too and are there any Krogers who do NOT offer this type of sale to customers?

I'd say we see about as many fakers as real non-profits, but it doesn't really matter because we get almost none of either. At most, I might get less than five per year. Or, there might be a several year gap until the next one comes along.
That is why when they come around seeking tax free sales we ask what organization they work for and their names. We then call said organizations much to their chagrin. If its legitimate we do it no problem. If said organization does not know them then they get their TAXED product as requested. We dont play that bullsh*t.
