Assistant Customer Service Manager. Basically one of several managers in charge of the front end. They make sure the cashiers and baggers are doing their job, that someone is assigned to bring in carts. They take on customer disputes. Etc, etc, etc. They make sure the front end is running smoothly so the store managers don't have to.
The only thing that would get you fired on the spot is stealing cash or a larger amount of times over time..........everything else your "pending further investigation".

We have our main morning U-scan guy suspended pending termination right now, and a couple other cashiers got fired or suspended at the same time. it seems like they're really watching the front end right now.
