Leaving early
Permalink

I had CBT for two days (Sunday 2-9 and Saturday 1-9) but I finished on Saturday at around 5, and I didnt really know what to do because I was told to just find a computer and sit at it for the two days, so I left. I thought it was okay but I dont know anymore and I really dont want to lose this job.

What department were you hired for?

You should have let your department manager know you were leaving but it isn't a big deal for a new hire.

You were told to do all the CBT modules and you finished them ahead of time.  You stayed for at least half your shift so you are still ok.

If the department head knew you were done, they would have probably put you to work with hands on training.

Always let your Department head or back up know when you leave early.  Otherwise, it is a voluntary quit.

I was hired for Clicklist and I don't know my department head. I was just sent to training and told to do the modules and that was it.

You should be ok due to being new and Kroger world renown communication.  As long as you did clock in and out when you left..

Show up for your next shift as scheduled.  Go to the Click list area and tell someone you are new and go from there.

I wouldn't even mention that you left early unless someone asks about it.

Let's re phraze this for what you really just said: 'I didn't really wanna be there but I saw an excuse to leave. I knew it was wrong but it seemed, in the moment, like I had plausible deniability. "...but I don't know anymore".

Dumbass. You should have consulted a store manager before bailing biggrin
