Like say you've been in a bad accident that landed you in the emergency room. They know I was in an accident, and they told me not to worry about it. I have follow up visits in about a week, and then the doctors will tell me when I can go back to work. I told them I'd get back to them with that info, I told them to call the hospital if they want proof I was there.
I'm just... Knowing how Kroger is, I'm scared I'm gonna go back only to find they fired me cause somebody didn't get the memo I was in an accident.

Give them a doctor's note. Have it faxed and then call to make sure they got it if you can't take it to them. File for medical LOA if needed, the system auto drops employees that aren't scheduled or worked for 2 weeks if the HR manager doesn't stay on top of it. Talk with your Union Rep and District HR Manager to get accurate information on the necessary steps and the ensure you management team doesn't "accidently" screw you over.
