why dont i get a raise
Permalink

i have worked in the pharmacy (transferred from front end) since may/late april last year, but i have not received a raise, except for when i completed two training classes. no automatic, regular raises like i did out in the store

the paystub website said i was eligible for a bonus but that turns out to be false because i had to have transferred before april

it also said i had a wage rate review in october and will have one again in august, but yeah no raise

supposed to have a performance excellence discussion next january

is this like up to the pharmacy manager or something, because i dont get the impression very often that she likes me

in many ways ive had it with this job because they want the 'fastest' people counting or doing data entry, but they never rotate so without much experience i'm stuck with customers all day long

sure i get paid a bit more but we're short staffed more often and im in more direct contact with supervisors, and i get tired of feeling like im constantly treated like i'm slow or stupid

and i dont think walgreens would be much better unless i was just fortunate enough to have a better team

in many ways i regret becoming a pharmacy technician, and i would do just about anything else under the right conditions

i dont always feel this way, i just spend so much time thinking about my job on top of being there often 40+ hours a week, im definitely letting some stuff get to me, its not always bad but it is a lot

Yeah.

You almost have 1 year's experience.  Stick it out until you have a year's experience, and then start applying elsewhere.

Kroger is generally a dead end.
