About the most that they can do is be very resentful to you to the point of disrespectful. Otherwise your job is pretty secure. A non union job the consequences might be a bit more severe.
they regard it as information they can use. if it is something serious the response can be anything. the company thinks they own you and everyone and everything, like the nazis thought they owned the world and everybody is tresspassing. BEWARE.
