For some reason, it's the responsibility of the front end to fill the Grab & Go coolers and one specific checkout lane in the evenings.
Even though it's possible to order dozens of cases of Grab & Go items for random store displays or hundreds of cases for convenience store owners, it's reportedly completely impossible to order one single extra can or bottle for the coolers.
So we pull from the shelf. A quarter of the items haven't been restocked in a week or two. One specific item has never been restocked. Half the items require clearing the shelf and we still don't have enough. The remaining quarter is usually fine unless it isn't. At that point, the AFEM gets in trouble because it looks like they forgot to fill the coolers.
This has grocery furious. Not because it's nonsense, not because it causes them extra work, not because it violates the contract (probably does but nobody knows since plebs don't get to see it), but because it's blowing up their out of stocks.
So now we are at the point where grocery is removing items from the coolers and checkstand and putting them back on the shelf. And then we just move them back in the evening.
That's amazing. Just amazing. This is the company I work for.
Feed the uplift plus a little or whatever, I guess.
