Kroger/Walgreens merger
Permalink

Seems like the Kroger/Walgreens merger is almost if not already a done deal.  Walgreens will take over the Kroger RX while Kroger takes over the grocery side of walgreens.   The walgreens that Kroger already takes care of look like minikrogers

I think it's good. Walmart has been going down hill for years. They're customer service is terrible. Due to underpaid staff and over worked employees realizing they'll never have a decent career. Dirty stores and the list just goes on. The employees joining our union is a good move. People speak bad of unions but after working enough bad jobs without them I'm thinking it's about damn time.

I would not rule it out, Walgreen is a bigger company technically, which basically needs to completely redesign their stores. The only downside of a merger, alot of overlapping market areas, resulting in some kind of store closings or divestiture.

A bad company being taken over by a really bad company.  Anything that gives kroger a more complete monopoly is bad.  Anything that allows it to influence society is bad.  Crazed thugs doing stuff in secret.

Depending on the 1st quarter results, a lot of stuff might be " in the words".

Kroger is the fourth worst paying corporation is the country.

What I hear is that Walgreens is a deeply and profoundly bad company to work for, except maybe not the fourth worst.

Unless Kroger gets their way.

And that's a really sad place to be.  But, that's the Kroger way (except more inefficient).
