They are doing away with sharing success. Would like to know their reasoning behind this.

it's being replaced with day old cupcake day.  If your store achieves, you will be allowed to purchase, before the general public, the cupcakes that would normally go on the markdown rack.  "At kroger, our employees are our second-highest asset, therefore it is with great joy that we give them this opportunity which we feel puts us in a league above the others"

Rodney got a 20% pay raise. Someone has to pay for it right?

Kroger has been collapsing for almost 3 years now. You will continue to see leaning out like this till either they collapse business, get bought out, the ego upstairs is fired, or it leans out so much they are profitable the way they want.

Kroger is is trouble and the ego at corporate can't fathom the idea of them being poor leadership. Once it collapses under their weight, they will blame unions and employees, cash out, then live out their lives thinking they did nothing wrong and you just implemented their programs wrong.

Worst part is, since the company collapses and all the grade D business students at Kroger's leave, they will disperse to different companies and there will be enough competence there to make up for their welfare style life.

Sad, interesting analysis that has such a ring of truth to it.
