My store was running pretty smoothly for awhile. Backstock was getting ran regularly, trucks were for the most part being finished. All it took was 1 late truck to just mess that all up. Today when I came in I had half of yesterday's grocery to run, 3 pallets of kmp from last night (my usual job), and a grocery truck. I worked 8 hours and we had 1 other person scheduled 6(IIRC) hours. That's it for all that truck. The grocery guy in charge was there but they don't usually help run trucks, "More important things to do." Luckily we did have another 8 hour guy working, but he was supposed to be working on something else. They pulled him to help me. It's really getting ridiculous this lack of hours and amount of work.
I used to hustle all the time but lately I haven't cared. I make my times, but why should I put forth the effort to help the cause when they're just going to keep cutting back?
It's because they want you to "take one for the team" or be "that guy" (or woman) who gets it all done by tbemself or with little help. This is mandatory in their eyes. It sucks I know. That's why I only get done what I can get done within that timeframe. If it means ignoring calls to bag or get carts when no one is available, then so be it.
That is right. Did you get the notice about the arbitration settlement? Estimated $9 for all in the class settlement who sign away the right to ever try to get anything in the future (if again denied breaks). Everything gets top priority, training is done "already", constant tinkering with everything/upgrading spyware and record keeping make-work but not repairing stuff. Mentally ill people at the top dumping on us.

Im mentally ill and I resent that. Not all mentally ill people eat their own feces and think of human rights as optional for everyone else except them. To classify Kroger execs as mentally ill is to humanize them.... When they arnt people.
