one of our two jacks had been giving us fits for weeks. They'd come in to "fix" it 3 or 4 times, but it was still crap. Today they rolled in with a brand new one. The catch, we had to send both of our old ones back. 2 for 1. Personally I'd rather work with 2, one of which was a bit of a headache, but at least you could easily have two people unloading trucks (one feeding pallets down the hall to another). Now we'll have to either have one person walk each pallet all the way down or have the second person use the straddle stacker or hand jack to take pallets down (straddle stacker fits in coolers/freezer, but just barely and doesn't maneuver well. I'm curious to see how long this new one lasts as it's a hyster rather than Crown. Word is they're doing this at a lot of stores, thinking us smaller stores don't "need" 2 jacks. Well they'll find that it's going to take a lot more time to unload trucks...also we used to keep one on the back dock and the other down at frozen/dairy, so they can rearrange/pull pallets in or out, now it's going to take them more time to come get the only jack to do so...and to return it! New jack also seems to be slow, there's a turtle under the handle but we can't figure out how to change into rabbit mode---maybe it doesn't have rabbit! uggh. What used to take less than an hour to unload a truck, now might be closer to two hours...hurry up to make up that lost time!
we've had two for years. heck we had 2 straddle stackers for awhile til they took one away. You don't have two? How does that work with unloading trucks? Must take forever!
My store stacker Is pushing 20+ years we have Two jacks at the moment But one is tagged out and we got a second Not new Used "temporary" Till we get a Brand new one
