SO to make a long story short, ribeyes and store trim were recently recalled.
I contacted kroger on twitter, which they stated the recall was product from another facility that is shipped into krogers.
If store trim and ribeyes were contaminated, and our area still hasnt moved over to walmart 100% prepacked garbage.
That means, contaminated ribeyes were cut on a table, then something that WASNT CONTAMINATED was cut on the same saw and table, thus, making it all unsafe.
That being said, why was there no recall done for the other red meat. You got ribeyes, which get trimmed into store trim, store trim was recalled. Why wasnt the 100s of other red meat items cut in that same cesspool of E-coli?
So i ask, why was a bigger recall not done? Why does no one seem to care?
I contact kroger on twitter, they admitted contaminated product being opened and processed instore. Then after i asked if that would make everything unsafe, i was request to contact them privately. I said no, tried to get the USDA and FDA's attention. They promptly told me to "kindly **** off and contact the USDA then with further questions".
I have.
Am i making a big deal about this? As a customer, this **** is ****ing scary as **** to me. I eat more processed food anymore cause i know it atleast kill me when im older, instead of now with food poisoning.
I just want to know why this is just ok.
------------------------------------------------ This worries the **** out of me, Hep A in produce, E-coli in meat, Whatever the **** was just found in brownies today.
ME: So then it was delivered, contaminated. Meaning the butcher opened contaminated product and cut and trimmed it. Making anything else open trimmed or cut on that table, also possible contamainated
To be fair, Social media managers don't really know jack about anything. They also can't fix your problem. I would have advised them to send me a direct message with someone you could contact within the company or where to start - that's something they should actually know.

No one here can do anything. This is a forum for employees to complain about Kroger, not for customers to complain to us about Kroger. You're in the wrong place.
I appreciate you guys getting back to me. I guess i understand there is nothing that can be done here. I contacted the USDA with questions but have yet to hear back. I don't feel like i matter to any of these large faceless entities. I'm glad i grow alot of my own food.
If this is the stuff they will admit, imagine what happens behind closed doors.
Though I don't buy things such as brownie mixes, in times like these, I take all the preventative measures I can. I wash my hands frequently with hot water and soap. I pour boiling hot water over my kitchen surfaces and utensils. Any raw vegetables I eat, I wash them in boiling hot water first. And any sign of stomach cramps I drink a tablespoon of vinegar and have my doctor on standby.
You have to go directly to Kroger. This is an online complain forum for employees. Unfortunately this is a site where any thing goes and I mean anything. Call Kroger and ask them what to do. If you still have the merchandise tag or receipt bring it back for a refund. If you got sick then you'll have to talk to corporate about it. You could take them to small claims court if it's bad.
