The other day a lady purchased an onion 4093. I scanned the sticker. The screen displayed Yellow Sweet Onion. She bitched about how she didn't purchase it. I void it off. Scan it again. She bitches the same again. She complained about how it was miss marked. I told her it wasn't. She still didn't believe me. I told her I can't manually enter it if it has a sticker on it. I'll have to go grab another onion with a sticker on it. She didn't want to waist the time and complained about how things were wrong. I told her it was correct as 4093 was on the sticker and she still didn't believe me because she was vegetable incompetent. I'm getting tired of stupid people who can't tell an apple from an apple.

You really need to VALUE US! Remember with out us customers you wouldnt get paid. That onion goes to those pennies you make on your check. A highly satisfied you should probably apologize to her.
I agree. OP should say "I'm sorry that you don't believe me that this IS the CORRECT price I am charging you. We don't decide on the prices. That'll be (priced as marked) for your total pls.
I hate people that do this. The stickers are usually right, and thats why they want us to scan them in the first place because people who dont care were ringing up Organic produce as Regular.
Cashiers dont set the produce price, I wish customers would get that. We arent giving away stuff for pennies like people want. If we did that, we wouldnt get paid and I sure as hell would not be working here without pay.
Is your store so strict it requires its cashiers to scan 100% of produce stickers?
Anyways, in my store, that kind of situation would never happen. Especially over something so small as an onion's mistaken identity. If I brought this issue to a co-manager or a CSM, they'd tell me to give her whatever price she thought the onion was.
And if the issue was over the name of the onion... yeah, definitely I would be told to just enter the PLU.
Our store has the lowest customer satisfaction rating in the state. They've got no time to argue with customers over such small things.
