Any one else tired of customers scolding them for pricings mistakes?
I keep getting told by customers that theyre tired of you(me) over charging them in a demeaning tone. I tell them I dont have control over that but can price over ride it for you. Oh no thats not good enough and they rudely complain some more and just keep scolding you over it. Then finish it by saying All I said was you over charged me? No you didnt you were a smart ass to me.
Its getting old. Being blamed for mistakes you are not even responsible for. About the most we can do is make it right. I got scolded by one customer for being overly charged on a regular basis. I told him that cashiers are not responsible for pricing and that we have no control over it. Then he scolded me some more. I became more frustrated and asked him to leave.
sort of an off topic question related to produce. How would the uscan or person working it know if you punched in the number for something that is cheaper than what you actually weighed? Like maybe you said you had roma tomatoes but you actually had more expensive ones. How would anyone know because all it says out loud is "weigh your tomatoes" and who would question that?
