.....Mold.    And, they want the berries "waterfalled" with 7 empty boxes under each full box. What is the point of all the empty boxes? I can understand 2 or 3, maybe even 4, but seven?? And basically this just means the full display table plus one box.   What stupidity.   Waterfalling becomes pointless and a big waste of time.

And the display tables, needless to say, are at room temp, and many of the strawberries (2 pound boxes) are coming in with mold on them already. And lots more mold grows almost overnight.

I am so sick of us selling strawberries, blueberries and raspberries on the unrefrigerated front 'sales display' tables, and that we fight CONSTANTLY to cull dozens of containers that have mold scattered in and on the berries.  It never ends.  We will be lucky to break even, considering how many packages of berries are being scanned out as 'damaged'.

Sure, blue waffle style.

For the past few years, there's been weeks and weeks where we couldn't put out any berries at all since they were coming in moldy.

We're not competent enough to order rainchecks and/or corporate won't give us any, so we've had to give out lots of Xeroxes of rainchecks.
