Does anyone know where I can find my contract? I've been working at Kroger for 11 years and I'm still listed as part time but I've worked months at full time hours without a change despite me having open availability.
The store doesn't want you to know your rights, and neither does the union.
Last time it came up, the union rep wouldn't even let me see one.
If you have a sympathetic long-timer coworker, they might have one. Otherwise, you aren't going to be able to get one.
Well, then you need new union reps. Here in the Louisville Division, as soon as the contract books were printed, the union people were at all the stores passing them out to all the employees. They also left plenty for the union steward to pass out to people who weren't there on that particular day. Remember it's your legal right to know what's in your contract.
They won't let you have a copy on request? No good. Try online. Hope you don't have to walk into the office with a silent "attorney looking" witness with you to drive home the point. Share, everybody!
Try looking it up online. Some unions post theirs. Or ask other employees like stated. With ours you have to work an average of 36 hours a week for 10 consecutive weeks to become full time. But it's more actually like 12 weeks because of the 2 week in advance schedule. Are you sure you're still part time? You might've went over into full time status without even knowing. They don't announce it to you are anything. Maybe ask HR if your status is full or part time in the computer.
Also they'll specifically **** you into getting full time sometimes lol. Like ours will schedule you 36 hours for 9 weeks, but the 10th week they'll only schedule you for 30 hours. So then your 10 week average is only 35.4, thus keeping you at part time. Or like me where they scheduled me 36-39 hours most weeks but threw in a few 31-32 hour weeks to keep me part time lol
