Threats

Last months me and a friend/coworker of mine was talking at work about another friend who is also a coworker who was off work at the time. I told him I was so mad at him I could shoot him. It was not a threat because I did not say I was going to do it I was expressing my anger. anyways since the other associate wasnt at work would that be a somerhing that could lead to disciplinary action Since he wasnt on the clock.

It doesn't matter if the associate you were talking about was on the clock or not.  He's still another employee.  Never say anything threatening to or about another employee.  You never know who's listening and who you can trust.

Don't even post those types of comments on social media.

12+ years ago a coworker posted online (facebook maybe?), "Watch your back" to another employee during an online conversation.  They were both off the clock.  Someone or the other employee reported it to HR.

We had to swipe our badges to get into the building to go to work.  The next shift he was greeted at the door by  two security officers, HR and the manager and terminated on the spot.

If nothing has happened to you over the comment, I doubt anything will.

But, like the previous poster said, 'You never know who is listening or who to trust'.

With todays' snowflakes, you can't use that terminology without getting someone upset.

You better hope they dont report it. Because you will be in some trouble.

Just because someone reports it doesn't mean you'll be in trouble. We had an incident where someone upset with their schedule threatened to have her husband or son come in to talk to the department head and said you don't want them to come in, showed picture of son on phone (big guy). Said they'll take care of it. Situation reported to management. Husband came in and caused a scene. Had to be threatened with calling police. Now, I consider that a threatening situation. Person sent home pending investigation.

Person said I didn't tell my husband to come in. I'm not responsible for what he did. I never threatened to have them come in. Union said because no one heard woman make threats to other person it was a case of one persons word against another and person keeps job. Hopefully, they don't come in with a gun next time.

I should be blunt with you but will hold what I was going to say for now. But I would take that as a threat. People like you is what makes people who own guns look bad. You should never say things like that. It is just the same as a threat. Yes we may all think things but you should not always say what you think.

Well if you werent under a rock your whole life youd know he meant in his own way he would beat his ass. Besides their ass friends and they can talk about like that to each other if they want. there isnt nothing you or kroger can say or do anything about it. Get over it. People like him is the reason? Youre a loser if you think that.

Do not ever say anything, not joking or otherwise, that could be "interpreted" as threatening.  Lying bastards will falsely claim all sorts of things.

 Gotta prove it first

Unfortunately, in this day and age of Liberalism, Socialism, Me Too, and political correctness, the burden of proof lies with the accused, not with the accuser.
