The Union Handbook reads that you are considered full-time if scheduled 40 hours for 8 consecutive weeks.

Must you also WORK those 40 hours? For instance, what if one of your 8 weeks averaged 30 or less because of you were out due to being ill?

In my area you need to work 12 weeks of 38 hours in a row. But to maintain full time status you only need to work 38 hours in a week, once every 12 weeks. So you can go full time and than go part time for 11 weeks than work 38 hours etc, and youre considered full time. Not bad

Ours you have to work 40 hours for 12 weeks to get full time. Then if you average less than 32 hours a week for four weeks you lose your full time status.

While trying to get full full time if you fail to get 40 for any reason you start your 12 weeks over. They dont care if you called in sick. If you cant even make 12 weeks straight working 40 hours you dont deserve full time status.

Our Union has made it easier. As long as you average 35+ for the year they have to make you fulltime. Its on the new contract.

Hes a full time corporate SHILL right here folks. What the shill fails to mention is at the 11th week they will cut your hours to 16 hours for the week so you CANT roll over to full time.
