Doesn't exist. Every department is understaffed and overworked. The only place you might get a hint of rest is cashiering if there happens to be no one checking out at the moment.

If you are a people person, definitely front end.
Grocery will absolutely work you as much as they can, this is not even on your list of choices for this.

Some stores within Kroger have a clicklist/pickup department where you simply get online orders in and you do the shopping for that customer. You essentially shop for money.

Pickup is not easy if you actually work, anyone who thinks it is has never worked in that department...

Pickup is the easiest department, especially at night when you can play on your phone half the time.

Floral is easy too.

This is true. i spend more time on my phone some nights than actually working. We should all know this topic is a ruse

Please do not apply.  Having anything to do with this company is a bad idea and I am totally ashamed to be associated with it.

Having said that, the invisible decision makers are always trying to squeeze more out of very little.  If employees and customers feel rushed, sabotaged and cheated this stands in for impossible productivity, when they have no other ideas.  Some stores encourage goofing off but will also be so abusive you won't believe it.  Then things change.  Nightmare.  No.

Seems every store I worked at Drug/GM has it the best.  They never seem to have to work near as hard as the grocery department and they don't have many items they have to worry about code dating like meat, bakery, deli and produce.  Customer interaction is pretty much telling a customer where something in the store is.  The manager has it tough though with all the seasonal BS.

I agree with GM. They definitely seem to have the most people/hours. 5 full timers; including lead and backup and 2 part timers at my store.

I work in pickup as a picker and I think its quite honestly the easiest job Ive ever had. Its a lot of walking yes, but you also get the break to help customers find items which breaks up the monotony.  And the time goes by extremely fast.
