How about $25 dollars a week until the madness is over. Also, how about figuring something out so employees can have milk, bread, basic needs for their families to take home when their shifts end. Something is really wrong when I work in a grocery store, and I just need a loaf of bread after my shift for my kids and I can't buy it.

While this might be slightly controversial, maybe there should be a small selection of items located in the backroom for sale for associates. Yes, we need to take care of all customers, but also need to take care of the associates placing the items on the shelves.
Side note, why can't you buy these items on your break or give money to another associate to purchase these items when they are on their break? While its against policy to purchase items on the clock, I'm sure Mgmt will turn a blink eye if necessary. Hell, working at a grocery stores only have a few perks, one of which is knowing when items are available and buying when able.
If only the $25 was available for more than a couple days.
I heard it would be on your card and available for 2 months. I bought a few items today with my Kroger card (about 14 dollars worth) and it worked like a charm.......when the transaction was done, the total owed was $0.00.
Presumably, this will work just like a typical gift card. The next time I use my Kroger card, it should show the amount still "on" the card (about 11 dollars) and how much I need to pay additional, if any.
I got a phone call with an automated message for that yesterday. I can't remember the date (it's $25, I hardly care) that it will be loaded, but soon. Sucks to be you day workers, though. You're just as screwed as normal customers for being able to buy what you want.
