What’s standard protocol to call about taking a self quarantine?

With these next two weeks being the worst itll be, whats standard procedure for this? At this rate Im not even concerned about pay for the week Ill miss. With two sick kids at home and a wife that has to work out of our bedroom for her job right now, its not ideal conditions. I dont want to be a statistic either. Ive had stomach issues for two days but no temperature so Ive come to work. And associates dont want to be around even remotely anyone thats sick.

i was told to contact the manager of the entire division but that seemed a bit over the top in being the only way to go about it. I did it but it felt awkward. Now Im at the position of what if I get told no and I come in sick anyway and get everyone sick. Then Im fired for coming to work sick.

I hope Im worrying about nothing and theyll let me self quarantine next week so I can take care of my kids so my wife can work and not be at a higher risk of infection herself. its scary times. I never thought Id have to go through this.

Your store managers should be able to answer all your questions.  There are requirements that need to be met.  Dr note, ect.

I have people already taking LOA and asking to use vacations in April instead of later in the year.  April had no vacations requested until now.

as i understand it, you get 2 weeks paid leave if you get a doctors note verifying symptoms and they recommend a self-isolation period

it's unfortunate that more people are probably infected in this country because they didn't feel ok but they have bills to pay and there isn't enough forgiveness on that

you don't have to use vacation in this case, kroger has made a special exemption in this case. if you're on the kroger insurance there is a free tele-doctor option, you may be able to find it on the Engage website

What about those of us that can't afford to see a doctor for a note?
