The hazard pay sucks but it's better than nothing.

Hell unemployment pays more than what kroger is offering right now. Assumingly you can even apply for it.

Checking it out would require going on Twitter. Probably creating an account. No thanks. Give me the gist of it.

Considering Kroger either doesn't or barely pays a living wage, hazard pay would be welcomed.
At $7.25 an hour with 20-25 hours per week after taxes state and federal plus those useless union dues, you barely have enough to buy groceries from the store where you work.

Are you really serious? You need to become more familiar with the internet.  I know it's scary, but Twitter is just a public discussion/communication forum, somewhat like Facebook but much simpler.    Anyone can read tweets, but you can't actually write anything and tweet it out, unless you create an account.

Twitter can be, and is a sewer, but it is also a source of quick information on breaking news, current headlines, opinions of everyone running the gamut from conservative to ultra-communist, from Creep to nice person, and everything in between.

The best use of Twitter is to follow/subscribe to some of the main news sources, TV stations, public figures, sports stars, celebrities, weather stations, meteorologists, etc, etc. (all who have twitter accounts nowadays) and when you sign on you get an updated grab-bag scroll of the latest posts from whoever you follow.........get up to speed on breaking news anytime.

You might be surprised how most shallow celebrities have HUGE numbers of followers on Twitter.  Katy Perry has over 100 million followers worldwide on Twitter.  Justin Beiber has 111 million.  But Donald Trump only has 79 million followers, and Hillary Clinton only has 27 million.  Go figure!

Anyway, if you don't have an account, you just go to twitter.com (home page)  look along the top for the search box,and type in any hashtags, keywords, names, to do searches and read tweets.

In this particular case, you would type in #Krogerhazardpay in the search box  .    I have done the work for you, so this is the URL you can click on to go directly to the very latest posts on Twitter that contain that hashtag:  https://twitter.com/search?q=%23krogerhazardpay&src=typed_query&f=live

You wrote a fukcing book already. Could have just told us the gist of the Hazard Pay tweets...

Meh, looks like the gist is to guilt Kroger into continuing the Hazard Pay. lol "I'm not going to shop there anymore." "OMG, we'll go out of business!"

Good luck with that lame leftist tactic. "Boohoohoo, the rich have, like, so much money n sheit. Dey should just give us some" is a valid strategy for the left. Just guilt the rich into giving you more money. lol good luck with that.

I was trying to be helpful and give a little background explanation for those who don't really understand Twitter and how it works. Anyone who says "give me the gist of it"  is probably on the lazy side, or has never understood Twitter because all you have to do is go directly to the site, type in #KrogerHazardPay in the search bar, and see what everyone is saying.   (That takes like a minute or less).

Although with 20,000 + tweets with that hashtag, the gist was "Kroger, we are not happy for the way you treat your employees. Extend that hazard pay past the May 16 deadline", written in a thousand different ways.   Some people are FOR Kroger taking away the hazard pay, but needless to say, there are lots of trolls on Twitter just like there are here on this forum.

Well it only ended up trending for a very short time. Now of course, people dont care anymore even though they made a big uproar that day. These people dont care about Kroger employees nor will they boycott Kroger, they just want internet points to look good. Its just virtue signaling.

You are absolutely right.  "Virtue Signaling" is a thing many people love to do constantly,  to show how "Caring" and "empathetic" they are.  But it is all empty talk and no action.  Kinda like Ellen D. and "Be Kind".  Actions speak louder than words.

Walmart announced Tuesday that their employees will be receiving a second round of $300 full time/$150 part time bonus checks, that's in addition to their "hero" pay having already been extended through at least the end of May. I think Kroger is run by a bunch of honey badgers, and as we all know, honey badgers don't give a ****!

^ Judging by the fact that Kroger only gave us our $300/150 bonus because Wal-Mart did it for their employees, we could get the same second bonus check just so they don't look bad in the public eye. You never know.

That's why I don't set up an account there or on any other social media platform. Thanks for the link, though. I make $20 an hour in freezer normally, and $22 while this bonus is going on. I'm able to fairly comfortably live on my own, so I can't really complain. Sucks they don't pay as much country-wide, but I'm also not union - how much does that take out of your check?
