There was something in the report that Kroger was thinking of replacing it with a $400 bonus  to employees. That is a drop in the bucket-compared to the bonuses that managers get. We are putting our LIVES on the line for this company and they could do MUCH more than $400!!

Give me a break.  If you really thought your life was on the line, would you really stick around for a measly $2.00/hr. ?

Oh stop being a drama queen.
If you "put your life on the line" for Kroger, it's when you're bagging groceries and afraid some crazy woman is going to clobber you because she doesn't like how you stacked her purchases.

Atlanta division is changing hours back in less than two weeks.  Can't wait to see how that works out.  They are on us about metrics and standards as if everything is back to normal and this never happened. disbelief

Yes. For a full month. But the greedy kids in here can still hope. If the dems get their idiotic bill passed, we might be getting an additional $13 an hour, if grocery workers qualify as "front line," given our constant exposure.

It'll be taxed heavily, and we aren't getting the overtime pay, so it doesn't quite work out the same. Still, it's better than nothing.

Now you know how I feel about this s-h-it. Wtf? Why? Most of us would like to take loa but can't afford it. Yea I'd love to take 2-4 months off work and not do s-h-i-t.

Where did you read that? The first stimulus check wasn't taxed, so I'd imagine anything we receive should this bill pass would be treated the same.

I mean the thank you bonus. Last one was $300 but i only received like $220. So it's less than the $2 an hour we were getting. With them splitting the $400 among two checks, we'll be lucky to clear $150 on each half.

So that's it then? We just going to get two payments then what? They should raise everyone's pay.

The local chain Meijer in Michigan is extending THEIR "hero pay" until June 20th and companies like Albertson's and Ahold (Food Lion, Giant, Stop & Shop) are extending their pay, as well...Target is extending their wage increase until July 4th...What's Kroger's excuse??? confuse

I keep hearing this mention of the $2 ending on May 16, but has anyone lost their bonus yet? My stub for last week says I'm still getting the $2/hr.

Today is Monday May 25.  Your last pay check stub (I assume you mean the one issued Thursday May 21) was for the previous week which ended Saturday MAY 16.

We will be getting another "lump sum" bonus....  divided up into 2 payments, one in May  and one in June. I forget the exact dates they will issue them.

^ Haha, my bad. Brain-farted as I was looking at the calendar.

If the first check is going to be in May, I imagine it'd be the only payday we have left this month. Still, this lump payment amounts to the same thing; we just get it at the start of two 2-week periods rather than breaking it up even smaller. It still gives the internet time to shame Kroger into more bonuses in late June.

Go find another job with another employer if you don't like it
