Stepping down

I have only been Dpt. Manager for a few months but I'm ready to step down already, transferring to grocery. I make $21, but that's only $2 more per hour for 20x more work. $16 a day to go from needing to be responsible for everything that happens, all the people, all the product, etc. to literally no more than getting things on shelves. My biggest issue is that I feel like I would b. letting a lot of people down; my current department has been such a mess since before I started and the various other departments and uppers were hoping I could turn it around, but I'm having a hard time finding any good reason to put up with the stress. The overnight grocery manager would take me, and I can't really think of any good reasons to stay, but a lot of reasons to leave. Again, I just feel like I am letting a lot of people down.
Advice?

Who cares what other people think? Your happiness in life far exceeds anyones thoughts about you... That position isnt for everyone I sure as hell dont care to do it.

Your mental health is far more important. If you're unable to handle the stress then it's important for you to find a way to cope or leave it behind. Please be well. $2 is not worth your body or your sanity.
