Did those three people actually get sick or did they simply test positive for the virus?  Since the start of all this, our store has had six employees test positive.  None of them were sick and they were all isolated incidents.  Testing positive for the virus does not mean an automatic death sentence or trip to the hospital.  Our bodies are infected with stuff all the time and most of the time we don't even realize it.  I would only be concerned if I had one or more of the known risk factors for having a severe case of Covid-19.  Even though the "experts" say that no one is immune to the virus, I personally do not believe that is true.  Otherwise, the percentages of people being hospitalized would be a lot higher.  Besides there have been studies that suggest that nearly half the population may be totally immune to the virus.  However, there are certain people who don't want that information to become known and it's quickly suppressed.  They want people to think to think the worst and that the only hope is a vaccine.  Personally, I think some people are going to make a lot of money off of these vaccines.  The companies may say the vaccine won't cost you anything, but believe me they're going to make their money somehow.

I don't wear masks except on Halloween. There's nothing wrong with the air and if there were, fking masks aren't going to stop it. We've been in this thing for nearly a year and the truth is seeping out around the edges in spite of the government's and media's increasingly shtty measures to stop it: Masks don't work. Basically:

* People who've been faithfully weearing the surgical masks the whole time are catching covid any way. 90 plus % are surviving.

* The only people dying from the virus already had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. Sucks, but people are dying right now from a myriad of other causes as I type these words.

* I personally know a growing list of family, friends and genral aquaintences whove had this sht and succesfully beat it.

Something is afoot behind what's really going on. Just because I can't identify the arson's reasons for setting the fire doesn't mean I'm going to pretend it's not happening and stay in the burning room. I can't explain the magician's tricks, but that doesn't mean they're real magic.

Until we as a nation wake the fk up and start taking back our basic liberties, we might as well drop our pants and take the dick. This country is 100% being converted into a socialist state. Once you've scared a group of people it's that much easier to keep them scared, and they'll comply with what ever you want just so you'll stop. THAT'S TERRORISM, BY THE WAY.

Me? I'll go down fighting. I wasn't born wearing a mask; I'm not dying wearing one. I've never backed down from a bully, and I ain't starting now.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO COWER FOR A LITTLE BIT OF SECURITY AND WHAT YOU THINK IS FREEDOM, YOU SOON FIND OUT YOU HAVE NEITHER.

Masks are bullsh1t.

Also, you work for Kroger. You will be sick sooner or later -- mentally and emotionally, if not physically.

It's good to see there is a growing number of others who are realizing there is no boogey man here. My very first clue was at the start, when they were closing down all the small businesses trying to home stay everybody-----except for 'essential shopping'. Which itself turned out to = Walmart. Target, Kroger, and all the big, super rich corporate businesses. Ever since then it's been nothing but a nightmare of watching local restaurants, bars, ma and pa general stores, etc. etc. go belly up and close.

And I agree with you: This is all about the terrifying so-called vaccine. I'm getting ready to maybe lose my career and / or go to jail over this, cuz I SHO ain't gettin any of that sht pumped into ME.

As I said above: If We The People don't seize control of our country back, and quick, we're all fked.

There are so many people that are against the vaccine that if they even suggested making it mandatory, there would be riots.  If the virus did the same thing to everybody who caught it, then a vaccine would be necessary.  However, the people who get sick make up only  3 hundredths of a percent of the total population.  I don't have any of the risk factors and I have type O blood, which has statistically shown to have a protective effect against the virus.  It doesn't mean you won't get the virus if you have other risk factors, but it is good news if you're otherwise healthy.

Here's another thing I question.  The charts will tell you how many people have tested positive since day one of the pandemic.  They will tell you how many people have died.  They will tell you how many people have recovered.  However, the recoveries only include people who were hospitalized and then recovered.  They don't include people who tested positive and never got sick.  So according to the records, those people still have Covid.  For example, in Kentucky the total number of positive cases is 220,660.  There have been 2192 deaths and 31,507 recoveries.  That only adds up to 33,699.  What happened to the remaining 186,961 people?  Are they still listed as having Covid?  Personally I think if someone tests positive for the virus and then they have two negative tests or nothing is heard from them for three weeks, they should be counted as recovered.

You're ALL full of BS...If Dr. Fauci were to tell me today that the vaccine was safe and that he personally took it, or if one or more of the Presidents took it and scientists and doctors from all over recommended taking it, I would take it in a heartbeat...That said, there are going to be MANY more vaccines coming over the next year, I'm sure, and some may be better than what's out there now, so I'm taking a watching-and-waiting approach!

You take and you wear and you do what ever you want.

And I won't what I don't. Your rights end where my face starts. Don't like me not wearing a mask? GTF away from me. That simple.

If this has to turn into a civil war, and it may before it's over, so be it.

In addition to what I wrote above about having no risk factors and having type O blood, I also live alone.  So there's no chance of me and other people in the household in passing the virus back and forth.  That's where the majority of the cases are coming from.  So it all comes down to this.  Do I take a vaccine that I really don't need and suffer the possible and possibly dangerous side effects, or do I keep living life as usual?  I think I'll choose the latter.

OK...Yeah, right...

I'm sure this won't change anyone's mind, but think about your own grandmother or grandfather before spouting off all this "rights" nonsense...

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2020/12/12/coronavirus-deaths-highest-us-rural-republican-leaning-county/3828902001/

There are a lot of people who think like you, all brazenly and defiantly anti-mask...Tough guys, I'm sure...BUT, no matter how tough you think you are, you are nowhere NEAR as tough as the doctors and nurses on the frontlines who have to deal with non-mask-wearing idiots all day or the elderly folks who are stuck on a ventilator or in a nursing home, just trying to stay alive...Those are the facts, Jack!!! Trust me, THIS AIN'T ABOUT YOU!!!evileyeno

How much of those deaths are actually caused by COVID, instead of heart disease or something else? If it is present, it is counted, even when it wasnt the cause of death. A way to fudge the numbers and scare people so politicians can control your life.

My last grandparent died over 20 years ago.  As far as USA Today goes, naturally they're going to spin a story to fit their Liberal objective.  Perhaps they should look for an even smaller town so they can say the percentage of Covid deaths is 25% or more.  The town of Monowi, Nebraska has a population of one, Elsie Eiler.  If she were to die of Covid, all the Liberal newspapers could say that the Covid death rate was 100%.  When I calculate percentages, I use either the whole U.S., the whole world, or the whole state.  All of which include millions of people.  A town of a couple thousand people is not an accurate representation.

I stopped wearing cloth mask after forgetting to wash them, I would suggest everyone switch to disposable. Think about how much the cloth fabric is absorbing and what it might be absorbing from the other side. In winter this principle is more noticeable, just think about seeing your breath, cloth is absorbing all that. If you wear a disposable, you will get moisture building on the inside, but you also know the mask is working and stopping the spread.

It's not too complicated. I just buy a package of 50 cloth masks bought online...Wear a new one every time...Keep them in a bag...When they're all used up, wash and dry them separately and re-use them again...Of course, you can use the disposable ones, too, if that's what's available, but the cloth ones seem to hold better for me...Your mileage may vary...

And is Kroger going to pay for the masks they want us to wear? I'm not going to keep buying surgical one use masks. I have several cloth masks that I clean everyday and that is good enough.

For some reason, every time I see the subject line, "New masks rule" I see the word, "rule" as a verb rather than a noun.  Perhaps it should say, "New mask rule".
