Is it necessary to know English if you are going to open a business in an English speaking country?

No, but it would make communicating easier.  If your customers speak your language, then it shouldn't be an issue.  You will have a limited customer base.

They have phone apps and other devices that can translate from one language to another.

I have known people from foreign countries that learn English as a second language as they assimilate with the population.

America is a melting pot of cultures.  The language barrier can be overcome if a person wants to become part of the American society.

 It's more like a toss salad.  They don't mix and some cultures mooch off of others.  Socialism/communism is on its way in.

If you want to develop your career, travel a lot and be a sought-after specialist, then you need to learn at least English, I would advise you to learn another language as well. It's difficult, but you can start with basic phrases like business slang (look at this article) and then learn the language in more detail.
