Is the floor at your Kroger Store an ugly mess all the time now also???

At my Kroger, the floors are never clean anymore. They do look relatively good in the "Kitchen Place" aisle and in the area of frozen food and cosmetic aisles, but in most of the store especially including baking items, sodas, meats, produce, deli and the front end, the store is always looking bad. The floors are dirty, have not been mopped well for months, the floor is covered with stains, scratches, miscellaneous black marks,  and trash like bits of plastic, wipes, broken pieces of pallets, old coupons, receipts, and other assorted trash.

There are cracks, dents, small holes, and other such eyesores throughout .

The floor is never shiny or polished, like the floors of ALL the other grocery stores I visited lately including Walmart, Target, Aldi, Menards and Meijer. Other stores are obviously spending more on having a real cleaning crew do some detailed work on the store overnight. Not so with my Kroger. It is a disgrace. The store looks like we are in Ghetto Land.

When is Corporate going to open their eyes and see what some of their stores actually look like?     I should take a lot of pictures and email them to Rodney. Not that he would care.

Do you have any similar problems at the store you work at?

Not enough hours and people to clean the floors well.

During the last big remodel, our store installed the same exact tile that was installed at the nearby Safeway.

Safeway's was always flawless.  I was impressed every time I went in there.

Our brand new tile had problems from the start.

The floors weren't flattened right, so the tiles broke over every old pipe, conduit, or trench.  They replaced some of them the first couple times, but they just keep breaking.

And then our floor crew actually just waxes over the dirt, grime, and hair.  It's embedded in the wax.  And with the leaky trash cart, it's even worse.

Seems like some stores are being remodeled to remove the tiles and having the concrete polished instead.

The stores across all kroger stores suck. Our floor crew does a shi-tty job. Before the new system they use to have to do their job. Now they show up spot mop at best if even that then leave. Two hours into opening it looks like sh-it again.
