Unspoken Rules/tips?

Anyone have any "Unspoken rules" or common courtesy/tips that workers should know? Or things that might not be covered/misrepresented in training? I'll share some of mine that I've picked up so far, I can only speak from the experience of front-end but any department's tips would be welcome (Some of these might be common sense to some but not to everyone)

Never sit where a customer could see you in any way(Don't let them see your pain). Try to make first impressions count, and make sure that you're on the good side of at least one of your managers or supervisors. You can get 100$ added to your payroll if you show them your 2x vaccine card(for now), make sure you tell your supervisor when you leave or they'll get pissy at you. If you can't lift the bag with your middle finger, it's probably too heavy, and you need to move some **** around or the customer will get upset. The Kroger app is your friend if a customer needs to find a product, but if your managers actually enforce the phone rule try to look at the aisles and their contents while you're on your sweep. Try to make a checklist of things you need to do if you're on bagging duty, I'll put mine at the bottom but on the busiest day of your store, for mine usually Sunday, pay special attention and do 1,2 & 7 as those are usually the days that the "Mystery Shopper" will come and possibly review you.

When you're on the lot it usually helps to have some sunglasses if it's midday, "The hook" usually reaches 8 full-size carts so no need to count most times, if it's the smaller carts you can probably just get as many as you feel comfortable carrying. If you see the cart line start to bed, or the hook slides to the side of the handle duck because it's likely that that hook's about to come flying at you.

Bagging Checklist:

1.Greet the customer

2.Ask them if they found everything and/or how they're doing(Really no need to listen to what they say, just need to check the box)

3.Check under the cart for things the cashier missed

4.Bag as normal(hot with hot, cold with cold, can with can, box with box etc.., ask if gallons and large items in a bag) IF the order is Instacart(Doordash but groceries) and there are 2+ orders make sure you know which is which and if possible tie one order, double bag or leave untied with the other.

5. Put in cart as normal or if it's not there leave the bagged items on your workplace.

6.Check your bag holders and make sure there's no items left.

7.Say goodbye to the customer and/or thank for shopping with us.

Rinse and repeat ad infinitum

At our store we aren't allowed to ask if customers want milk and other items with handles in a bag. It's actually a written rule and you can fail if you ask the mystery shopper if they want their miilk in a bag. Is it different in other divisions?

WHAT???? You've got to be kidding!!!  You must be making this up!     At nearly every store I shop at. of course including Kroger, the cashier is SUPPOSED to ask you if you want your milk in a bag. (I don't, I prefer to carry it with the handle, but I know a lot of people do want the jugs of milk in the bag anyway).
