How many Kroger stores have Pharmacy drive thru closed? Sign said closed due to staffing. How can they get away with this? Maybe some front end cashiers could help out and just run a register? Maybe a chance to climb the latter?

First off......I would believe most drive thur RX's are low activity (at least the ones in my area are). 2nd.......If the FE is also having staffing issues, why would they pull someone from the FE to start working back there? Pharmacy/Healthcare is hiring like crazy because of COVID and RX's taking the leading role in COVID Vac's.

I'm guessing staffing will be an issue everywhere for a good while. Yes, businesses can pay more, but then with the higher prices, they will have less business. People don't understand they cant have "low" prices, and a high level of service.

Every time I go when the Window was open there would be a very long line. I know 30 or more cars in the line and one time I seen it backed up all the way to the receiving dock. I even have pictures. I am not sure if this will post or not it is huge.

WOW....the RX windows around me are never that busy. In reality, the window should just be for picking up something once you receive notification of it being ready/filled.

It's not feasible to work and that's why no one wants to work...let alone at Kroger:

They should be one window for drop off and one for pickup. People seem to sit and wait for prescription to be filled. And Pharmacy will send a text notifying you when ready.

I'm not surprised. It's not that difficult to come inside. If you're not able bodied or high risk you can send an errand boy. I get a lot of this through the mail. It's just easier. Covid may have changed the way we operate as a society for probably 50 years if not more. When society gets shut down for 1.5 years you're going to feel the effects for 5-10 years easily.

Well when I passed by today there was a truck sitting at the Pharmacy Window. So I assume they have reopened it or it closes at a certain time.

Covid is over.

If anything, lines should be shorter since it killed so many elderly and sickly.

The real problem is worst-in-class pay and terrible working conditions.

As a former employee, you should understand better than most.

NO,   actually, although the total "official" number of deaths went up in 2020 (over 2019) and also up in 2021 (over 2020 figures),  there is another thing you have forgotten about!!

The total current population of the United States is usually estimated to be around 330,000,000 to 335,000,000 people.    The ACTUAL numbers, although unknown, are MUCH more, some believe like 340 to 350 million............  and rising fast.  This is because of millions of illegal aliens (Undocumented migrants") pouring across the Mexican/US border every year.  There were over 2 million KNOWN illegals that crossed the border in the year 2021, and that was only the ones that were caught and processed!!

Which Biden and Harris have shown they DO NOT CARE ABOUT.   They don't care about massive influx of illegals because they hope that most of them will VOTE DEMOCRAT in the future (because they are thankful to Biden and Harris for being soft on crime).

Adding millions of people to the population means there will be MORE sick people needing doctors and pharmacies.  So, all you Kroger workers, get ready for the RUSH of new customers!!!!!!

It's a myth that you can just stumble all over job offers. Even if there are "we're hiring" signs all over the place employers are still selective in who they give interviews to.

The employers are saying one thing but their actions say another as well as the "They are lazy" crowd are the ones who are living off government assistance or are no longer an active part of the work force.

Fake news. These people are fool of it. Even at Kroger the hiring process takes long. Have to wait for background checks which at times can take a week maybe more. Then half the times people who are scheduled for day ones dont even show. Its not hard to get a job at these places. Guy in the video above got a job but didnt take it lol.

The point is that the term "labor shortage" is incorrect as employers are still just as picky as they were before everyone started quitting and people who aren't in the labor market are calling others "lazy" for not wanting to go back to low paying jobs with garbage hours and little to no benefits all the while risking health and lives. If they wouldn't do it why would they expect other people to do it? It's hypocrisy, plain and simple.
