Take your trash to work day.

The trash pickup on my street has been uncertain lately. I dislike having trash pile up. It occurred to me that if I will dump just anywhere it would be hard to do better than the trash cans at the disreputable market where I work. The only difference is who ends up paying to have it hsuled.

This is how I feel about the company. Every little bit helps.

I do the same thing as well. Usually when we do yard work we have about 15 bags of shrugs and leaves. So we make a trip to kroger at night and dump it all. Thanks kroger!

You must live where I live. Because the dumpster not sure why it is where it's at. It's not actually for the Kroger Store. It is inside the fence where the grease trap is. The trash stays piled up really high every time I ride my it's piled up bags all around the dumpster and the fence gate wide open. No one ever closes it I have already made a rant about this before the dumpster belongs to the businesses in the complex Great Clips and a BBQ Restaurant. I used to go to Great Clips all the time but I quit I confronted the manager about the trash I saw hair they sweep the hair up put it in bags. One of the bags I think a cat got to it because the back was tore open and hair leaked out. Anyway Great Clips Manager said it was not their trash. Also I confronted the owner of BBQ restaurant and that did not turn out well at all. The reason I confronted was because I was told to clean it up and the dumpster did not belong to Kroger. I did apologize to the BBQ Restaurant owner because he actually just opened and one of his employee's left trash on the ground. To this day trash still gets piled up and the gate wide open. Now enough of this I am just repeating myself.

BTW I can tell that people also bring home trash and people don't realize where I live you can be fined for that.

It is from my experience that if you say anything, you WILL be the one to clean the trash area up. EVEN IF the dumpster isnt yours. That's why I NEVER say anything. EVER. even our u.c.'s don't say anything. Why clean around a dumpster your store doesnt even own? Its NOT our responsability. Its whomever is renting the dumpster. So I just let it pile up, to astronomical heights and let them deal with it. We have our own dumpster area that we keep reasonably clean.

I never said anything to the Store Manager. Either the District Manager said something or a customer complained and said it did not look good. I really do not know but before this Manager came we were told it was not our Dumpster and to leave it alone. But I tell you it is really really bad I really don't know why I even care because I do not work there. But I see it and it just seems to bring back memories. And the trash that floats around in the parking lot is also bad. It just bugs me that the Manager used to hound me to death about it. And after I quit he was there for a few weeks and it got bad and it makes me feel like he was targeting me because he just let it go downhill after I left. I guess I was gone he knew with me he could push me around. Before anyone tells me to go shop somewhere else then I want see the mess. The town I live in we only have Kroger and Walmart and a few small stores. Walmart seems to be out of more items or don't sell some items Kroger sells. And Walmart has things Kroger don't but it's less with Walmart. I really have no choice than to shop Kroger. There is no Publix unless I drive 50 miles maybe I could try that but I would have to take a cooler for frozen items also I really don't want to go that far once a week. I meant in the post above I was told to clean it before I confronted the owners of the businesses. My store manager suggested I confront them when I told him what was going on. Really he should have had the balls to confront them or take other action.

That's basically called illegal dumping. My grandmother kept getting tickets for that. Slipping behind stores to slip in her 1 gallon trash bag. I'm surprised she managed to waive the city requirement of trash services mandated.
