So I just got hired (for the clicklist/ecommerce position) and I'm suppose to start my orientation tomorrow. I attempted to ask this question before on reddit, but most were pretty unhelpful or told me to quit and find something better lol. (Please don't bother telling me this, I'm literally a college student, I know what retail is like and this isn't my end all career path lol)
When I got the call for orientation, the hiring manager just told me to bring my ID and that kinda stuff and that was it. I know the orientation location is at the store I'll be working at, but I have no idea where I'm suppose to go. I called the manager and they weren't there and had to leave a voicemail in hopes they will return my call. My orientation is thankfully in the afternoon so there is time. So my question is (just to give me a vague idea), where in the building was everyone else's orientation at? I'll be working at one of the bigger locations that has an upstairs area and all that stuff. I went upstairs to do my interview, is that the area where I would go? Will there be signs? I feel kinda lost and didn't really receive a lot of information. I will try to call again if I don't get a call back but I thought I'd shoot my shot here first to see what it was like for everyone else.

During the interview, the manager gave me a piece of paper that shows that site plus a "FEED location" and I would get 1 hour of pay for completing it. However, when I went to the site, it was just a bunch of stuff to read and videos to watch. There was no place for me to login or access the "Onboarding for Store Hourly Associates" tab. Should I be emailed a proper link to it or is this just something I'll do during orientation?? I'd assume so because there has been no setup of direct deposit or anything yet, but the manager made it seem like I'd have to do it on my own at home. Has anyone else had to do this? Any answers to these questions would be great.
As a college student, Kroger is inflexible when it comes to scheduling. It's a fight to get the same two days off every week, and you can't really take a class that meets three times a week.
I've been scheduled overtime during finals week due to the Christmas rush.
I think a sociopathic manager purposefully and continuously screwed up my schedule to try to make me fail just to keep me from graduating and getting out.

I would say it depends on the store. My scheduling manager has been extremely flexible to accommodate my schedule as a student, to the point of me calling in after having forgotten to request a day off for the schedule she had written that day and she got me off that day. It really depends on the person writing the schedule, I have loved working at Kroger I think it is what you make of it. I enjoy the fast-paced work and my coworkers so it is a great job for me. Don't let people scare you away before you start.

A Feed Location? Does that mean you actually got some food at the Interview?
