Time to revolt!

Ok, enough.

I don't work in retail any more but I did for many years, so I will always be a patron saint of retail workers. That's why I'm here to say: time to revolt. This mandatory mask bullsh!t has gone on for two fking years now, and all it's done is mentally cripple and enslave workers everywhere. Come on. Even those of you who staunchly still believe in this fake pandemic by now know I'm right.

That's not enough? How bout this: We The Customers have long ago woke up and revolted. And NOBODY---not law enforcement, not store management, not other sheeple customers---have even tried to stop us!

Just like a crowd of people held hostage by one a$$hole with a gun and one of em getting shot so the rest can follow him to ambush the gunman, this is going to involve some firings. But once you shove that door open far enough, the rest is easy.

PEOPLE OF KROGER, IT'S YOUR LIVES. IT'S YOUR DECISION AND YOUR POWER. YOU NEED TO TAKE IT ALL BACK, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO RETURN IT TO YOU.

Absolouely love this. I hope to see more posts like it, and on all social media platforms. In my life I've never seen anything like the way we've been owned by our government. Just a little bit of world history research will show you the horrifying paralells between Stalinism, communist Russia, Maoism, and THIS. There is nothing about democracy or freedom or 'The American Way of Life' going on with what we've been subjected to.

As OP said, we need to take back our freedom RIGHT NOW. We've already gotten brain washed into thinking this is natural and 'the new normal'. F uck. How many hidden cam pictures of politicians NOT wearing their masks do we need to see??? How many more cases of people we personally know getting violently sick or even dying from this so-called vaccine do we need to keep seeing? How much longer do we need to go before we realize we aint seen with our own eyes, not on a screen, ONE DEAD OR DYING BODY form covid, not anywhere, since all this began?

Yes. ENOUGH.

So, we have to wear them or management gets on to us about it. They are way more lax than last time but still bad. We can mostly get away with uncovering our noses so we can effin' breathe, at least, but wearing it on our chin will invite management to tell you to put it on. Even have snitching co-workers who video taped one girl with their phones and tattled to management...

If we could just get the customers to stop wearing them, maybe we wouldn't have to. There are still so many wearing them though.

I started pulling my mask down when there were no customers around, and if said customers had no mask. And I was putting it back on for masked customers. Mostly because I didn't want any complaints from some self-righteous, holier-than-thou Karens or Richards. Now I sometimes keep it pulled down even for the masked customers, and most don't seem to even care. /shrug

And sadly, many wear the mask in the store because they think they have to. But they don't have to. No one is going to say anything at all, so...

Another reason I don't work any extra hours or stay over. Between the mask, and our currently 80-degree, literally 100% humidity weather, and virtually zero A/C in the store... Who wants to work while they're sweating and their clothes are wet, and then put on a darn mask too?! smh Kroger does everyting possible to make your job as miserable as possible. I guess their plan is to get us to quit.

The pipes in message we have
to listen to numerous times
a day about continuing
to wear masks and avoid
mass gatherings.
Sold out sports venues.
How about the mass gathering at our stores?

Kroger is the Dictionary Definition of a MASS GATHERING!!!!!!!!!!

Kroger has been playing those idiotic messages for nearly two years. Anyone who didn't just recently arrive from Mars has heard them too many times to count. When is brainless Kroger Corp going to quit playing them?   It's enough to drive a person completely insane.

For awhile I feared I'd be going to prison for elder battery. I kept having these old men coming at me for not wearing my face diaper. I went from quiet and nice to being a confrontational as*shole in no time. I don't care what the reason, I aint puttin up with bullies.

You called it good on hitting Kroger in their bottom line by refusing extra anything. That will truly be the salvation right there, when they get sick of losing too much profit from too many employees either quitting or slacking, both in record numbers.

In general, I think this whole thing is going to touch off a lot of revolutions, it's going to blaze a number of long smoldering fires, just cuz people are fed up with being controlled and pushed around. Nothing changes in human nature. These current social conditions are eerily similar to past national conflicts, such as France's Revolutinary War. And it's always for the same reasons: unbridled greed and lust for power.

People will not be beaten down forever. And we won't be this time for this reason, either.

This was, ironically, my first clue this was all bullsh!t when it started 2 yrs ago. That whole 'stay home-save a life' / essential shopping only'---------only, essential shopping meant only rich corp retailers like Walmart, Target and KROGER could stay open with no restrictions. All the small businesses? In Il. we lost over 12000 of them. And the following year the page 8 news revealed that the One Percenters made more money in 2020 alone than in any other year in human history.

Coincidence?

Like everything else fked up in modern society, follow the money. People lie: numbers don't.

Colorado Local 7 just voted pretty much unanimously to strike: https://www.instagram.com/p/CYQXsICgOTV/

This doesn't affect stores north of Denver like mine that are non-union (except meat/deli), but I'm very interested in how this plays out...

And this is what it has to come to, because this sh!t is NOT gonna stop on its own.

It's great to see the masses of awoken rising up and taking action. This very country was founded on resistance against oppression.

Well... this isn't the first time 7's voted to strike, only to back out at the last minute, so we'll see if they have the spine this time.

Agree. My store has been half n half with this for some time, and the un maskers are gradually winning. Even the cu nty cu ntomers have quieted down about it and are relaxing the mask thing themselves. It had to happen. People are not gonna live under government control forever.

That's why I see the govt stepping things up at some point within this year and going next level. There's gonna be more shut downs again, and much wider spread sanctions such as job firings of people not complying with vaxes.

If any one thinks this is gonna just blow over, they're kidding themselves. This whole thing was plotted out, detail for detail, since way before the start of 2020.

TIME TO FIGHT BACK.

Don't expect them to rule in our favor. They've been bought and paid for by the real culprits behind everything wrong and evil in the world now---the One Percenters.

To update, UFCW 7 in Colorado (King Soopers/City Market stores) is officially going on strike on the 12th, as announced on their Instagram. But according to Kings' president, our contract ratification bonus (last I heard it's $2k for those with less than 10 years, $4k for those of us with more; I assume before that bonus is taxed 30%) hinges on the union calling it off and getting back into negotiations, since lost sales will be taken into account. Both sides are crooked as ****, so I'm not sure what to think about all this. From what I've heard about previous strikes, the union never accomplishes much anyway. Personally, I don't think Kings' latest final offer is too bad. Especially with the bonus, I'd take it, but I'm not union and it's a small committee that's allowed to vote anyway.

Union's perspective on our contract negotiations: http://ufcw7.org/members/retail-bargaining-updates/

Kings' perspective: https://www.kingsooperscba.com/updates/

This is why most people are voting strike on contracts. Any job gets old face it. Eventually you just buckle down to earn income. That's where I'm at. I'm also doing pt school 1-2 classes a quarter. Mabye it'll open a door or two when done.

Gotta love how UFCW Local 7 keeps bitching about mask enforcement in the contract negotiations ("oUr LIveS aRe iN dAnGer!!!111! wE'Re HerOEs!1!!), yet they post photos of the strike on their IG with some members not wearing masks. They're whining just to whine at this point. Taking advantage of the social climate and their need for attention. Good on them, I'll probably end up with even higher pay, but enough with the histrionics already.
