Now that the federal mandate is dead, Kroger would be stupid to implement one of their own. Peiple would just quit and go work for one of their competitors.

Without the fedral mandate businesses have no reason to enforce it, brainiac.

If Kroger tries to enforce it now, then they would be liable for any adverse medical reactions that the employees have. Kroger can't afford to do that.

Kroger still wants you to report your vaccination status. I say it's none of their business. My health is not Kroger's concern. Nothing good can come from them knowing everyone's vaccination status. If you let them get away with this, who knows what they'll require you to report. That's one of the reasons the mandate got overturned. With the mandate no longer in play, it would be pretty easy for me to find another job that doesn't resort to Orwellian tactics.

Our local union supports it and these unions are in lockstep with what Biden wants to do.

Remind them it's a direct violation of all HIPPA laws, and then offer to introduce them to your lawyer biggrin

Unfortunately, employers can require employees to provide proof of vaccination. Vaccinated or not, I'm not telling them anything. Once you give in, it only gets worse. Spread the news. Don't comply.
